I recently read the news on Facebook, and moments later on his official website, that one of the most awesome artists in the world died yesterday (April 06). The "Painter of light", Thomas Kinkade, is dead at age 54.

I`ve been a huge fan of Kinkade since I knew his fabulous paintings. He`s been kind of a god to me, an idol, and someday I wished to meet him.
In my opinion, he was one of the best painters in the world. The mood, the lighting, the brush strokes, everything about his pictures and way of painting is just amazing.
And his current Disney series is a league for itself.

It´s so sad that there will never be new artworks to this series ever again.


It´s pretty grotesque, that the Christian Thomas Kinkade, who traditionally hid a little fish (the symbol of Jesus Christ) in each one of his images, died on exactly the same day like Jesus.

Rest in peace Thomas, we will never forget your art or your message.

Hey Girls!


My homepage is in progress, and there shall also be a tutorial section where I show tipps and tricks in photoshop, how to do fantasy manips and how to retouch a girl`s face for glamour portraits.
And here`s the problem:
The girls`free stock photos here on DA are ... well, not useful for me. Mostly bad quality, stupid looks and more stupid poses.

So I ask YOU, if you want to get a glamour portrait for free - for your profile, for application, or just for being glad.
Just upload some portrait photos (head to the breast or hip) and link it to me.


Conditions are:
- Good quality (enough light, sharp, high resolution)
- high resolution upload (2 MB up)
- Model pose (important!). Just take a look at some professional model pictures (Google, Ads ), and copy their poses

You get:
- a beautiful portrait photography in glamour style
- named on my homepage and on the retouched artwork itself

I get:
- the artwork/s for use in my retouching portfolio and in retouching tutorials (always with your name behind, of course)


You can upload and send me as many photos of you as you want. I think I`ll need ca. 5 or 6 girls/images in the end, but maybe in time it will be more.

Yay, the "Avatar - The last Airbender"-series is now in progress, and the first Preview released!
This is how the series and characters will look like.

And I`m looking forward to Animagic Convention in 1,5 weeks in Bonn. My highlights there will be:
- VIP-Party at the Hilton Hotel on saturday evening :3
- shoot with Aang (and hopefully Toph too) again; there are still poses needed
- maybe-meeting with future-organisators for Hanami Convention
- Animagic-Cinema: "Arrietty" *___*

And of course meeting people!

Yeah, meine neue Artwork-Serie zu "Avatar - The last Airbender" ist nun in Arbeit, und das erste Preview auch schon veröffentlicht!
Darin sieht man bereits wie die Bilder und besonders die Charaktere aussehen werden.

Und in 1,5 Wochen steht die AnimagiC an!
Worauf ich mich dort besonders freue:
- die VIP-Party im Hilton Hotel samstag abends.
- weiterer Shoot mit Aang (und idealerweise Toph, die mir noch fehlt^^").
- eventuelles Treffen mit potentiellen Nachwuchs-Orgas für die Hanami.
- Animagic-Kino: "Arietty" *__*

Und natürlich freue ich mich eine Menge Leute wieder zu sehen


Sofern der Avatar-Shoot z stande kommt und Models & Fotografen nichts dagegen haben:
Wer Interesse hat bei dem Avatar-Shooting etwas zu helfen kann gerne anfragen. Ort und Zeit des Shootings wird privat abgeklärt, ich teile es dann per ENS/Note/SMS mit.


Desweiteren, ICH SUCHE NOCH:
- eine Rückfahrtmöglichkeit für Sonntag nachmittags/abends nach Grünstadt (oder wahlweise MA/HD/LU/FT)
- eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für SA auf SO (idealerweise möglichst zentral in Bonn, wg der Hilton-Party)
- einen oder zwei Fotografen für das Avatar-Shooting

Würde mich freuen wenn sich für irgendetwas davon (also am besten möglichst viel >D) Interessenten finden^^

I`m currently working on a huge poster for a special event of the convention I co-organize ("Hanami" in Ludwigshafen/Germany: www.hanami-ludwigshafen.de ).
This poster will be in A0 or A1 and published city-wide in Ludwigshafen.

And for this I need PHOTOS!
From beautiful cosplays, japanese stuff, martial arts or similar!

If you want to see yourself on an official convention`s poster and be named on our homepage, just note me with a link to the picture/s you want me to use.


By the way, the convention and also this special event is completely non-commercial, organized by fans and we don`t make any profit for ourselves.


Deadline:
I want to have the poster finished until the weekend of march 19th/20nd, so deadline for the images would be end of this week.
